Our Story
We first discovered this area in 1998 on a surf trip. With empty beaches and an amazing local community we immediately knew this magical area had a special energy. "Mana" in Polynesian means a Divine Power, or Spiritual Power or Energy. When visiting this area of the Nicoya Peninsula you can feel that special energy. You feel refreshed, energized, and healthier. Hence why this area is designated a Blue Zone. Blue Zones are naturally occurring areas around the world where people live longer and better lives. We built Villa Mana so our family as well as others can come down and experience the Mana of this area in Costa Rica. Playa Hermosa, Santa Teresa.
Villa Mana
Nestled on a beautiful manicured property steps from Playa Hermosa lays Villa Mana. Each of the 3 large Suites comes complete with a king beds and day beds, bathrooms and small desk/work space. There is an amazing indoor/outdoor lounge area overlooking the pool/garden with a built in BBQ and wood fired pizza oven. The indoor lounge has a large dining area and lounge area with a big screen smart TV and bluetooth sound bar.
Playa Hermosa
Just north of Santa Teresa on the Southern tip of the Nicoya Peninsula, lays Playa Hermosa. This little slice of paradise has become quite popular in recent years attracting tourist and residents from worldwide. The beach in front of Villa Mana is perfect for surfing, long walks and tide pool exploration and more. There is a small market and a few eateries within walking distance of Villa Mana. Nearby towns of Malpais and Santa Teresa have several boutique shops, world class cuisine, supermarkets, banks, medical services and more.
